FREE ENTRY: The museum has a permanent exhibit that covers the history of Grand Prairie, Tx in chronological order. There is also a rotating display that is regularly changed based on special events or holidays. To book a group tour, contact historian@gphotx.org.
Explore Our Archive
The GPHO stores a variety of items and documents related to Grand Prairie in the archive room. Objects and photos that are not on display can be found in there- from mementos to our detailed vertical files, to GPISD yearbooks. Visit the museum to discover something new.
Rent the Meeting Room
The museum is an excellent location to host your business meetings, gatherings, and celebrations. Our meeting room can seat up to 40 people and is only $50 for a two-hour block. The room also has the technology to display your presentation. Call (972)639-3388 to make a reservation.
Donate Grand Prairie Items
The majority of the museums’ collection comes from donations. Donations are either displayed in the exhibit or safely stored in the archive room. Contact the museum before throwing out objects, documents, or photos related to Grand Prairie to help us preserve history.
Become a Volunteer
The Grand Prairie Historical Museum is volunteer-run. The GPHO is actively seeking docents to assist patrons during their visit. Email historian@gphotx.org to become a volunteer.
