Scoop of Summer Ice Cream Social

On a bright Saturday afternoon, July 25, 2026, the Grand Prairie Historical Organization welcomed friends, families, and history lovers to our Scoop of Summer Ice Cream Party—and what a delightful day it was!
Laughter filled the room as guests of all ages enjoyed cool, creamy treats while soaking up a little local history. From the tiniest attendees (some still in onesies) to longtime residents and brand-new members, everyone left with a smile and a better appreciation for the stories that shaped our community.

Kids tried on fun hats, families posed in front of the iconic Micajah Goodwin Cabin backdrop, a few brave souls even stepped into period costumes, and everyone shared scoops and smiles. It was the perfect mix of sweet treats and shared heritage—exactly what we love most about these gatherings.
