Norma J Hale

September 27, 1925 – February 16, 2024

Norma Jean Hale of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on February 16, 2004 at the age of 98. Norma was born in Grand Prairie, Texas on September 27, 1925 to James Leonard Robertson and Eula Alberta (Pool) Robertson.

Norma graduated from Grand Prairie High School. After graduation, she attended the University of Texas at Arlington and received her Associates Degree.

She married James “Jimmy” Oval Hale on April 9, 1950. They were married 69 years until his passing in February 2020.

Norma was a member of the Grand Prairie Garden Club, the Grand Prairie Women’s Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie.

She had a passion for artistic projects, especially creating flower arrangements. She also loved teaching Bible stories to children.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents; James and Eula Robertson, and her husband; Jimmy.

She is survived by her daughter; Karen Eddlemon (Johnny); grandchildren, Corey Eddlemon (Leigh Ann), Kelly (Lindsay), Makinley Garrett (Ethan), Morgan Eddlemon, Lucas Eddlemon and Jace Eddlemon.

A Visitation for Norma will be held Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Grand Prairie Funeral Home, 733 Dalworth Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Funeral Service will take place Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Grand Prairie, 950 Mayfield Road, Grand Prairie, TX 75052. Committal will be held Thursday, February 22, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
