About Presenter Bob Fitch

Bob Fitch was born in Waxahachie, Texas, where he attended Waxahachie High School, then Navarro College, Corsicana, and El Centro in Dallas. His major in school was Criminal Justice. Following his educational studies, Bob was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Department, a Postal Police Officer, Support Technician with the U.S.Postal Inspection Service. He retired after 34 years with the Postal Service…3 years at the GP post office and 31 years with the Inspection Service. He also spent 10 years in the Texas National Guard.
Even though he lived in Waxahachie and Ellis County during his early years, Bob often visited his grandmother who lived in Grand Prairie. He moved to GP in 1969, for the job with the Post Office. From 2004-2019, Bob was a Photojournalist in Grand Prairie and during those years he published the online News – Grand Prairie Reporter from 2007-2019.
It is obvious that Bob enjoys nature as his hobbies reflect gardening, photographing, birds, butterflies and bugs. Bob has won several awards at the State Fair of Texas for his photographs especially the “Big Boy” steam locomotive.
Bob is married to Vinita Terry, Grand Prairie High School, Class of 1972. They have 3 children, 7 grand children, and 2 great grand children.
